Abstract Photography

Yep, a continuation of my fetish for such photos. One thing i realise though - it only works well with symmetrical scenes. Or rather, ALMOST symmetrical. The hardest part is stability and i wonder if there is such a thing as a remote-controlled zoom lens?

personal opinion:

in terms of colour composition, i think the 1st pix is better than the 2nd one, cos there is a greater colour contrast..

the 2nd one was too bright for me, n had only 2 colours, black n brown (until the green at the top was pointed out by the photographer himself, i had classified it as black oso..)..1st one maybe too dark, but has more colours..

the red centre of the 1st photo defintely caught my attention 1st, before the bright lights frm the windows caught my attention nxt... the 2nd one, my attention went to the brown walls n the bright lights 1st n i basically ignored the centre of the 2nd photo for a while, cos the bright walls kept distracting me...

no such prob (ie distraction) w the 1st photo, cos the centre n the sides were equally bright (in a sense), so its like u cld give equal attention to all parts of the photo, whereas the black centre of the 2nd photo was dismissed quite quickly n my attention was remained on the bright walls on the side even after looking at the entire photo..

a suggestion: to draw attention to the centre in a composition like the 2nd photo, consider making the black centre wider.. i think tt was the 'advantage' the 1st photo had...

well, basically i liked the 2nd one more because it looks more like a vortex or some doorway to neverneverland, as compared to the first, which to me is just an abstract image.
